Sporefall

The Adventure

The dungeon is the town. The rooms are days. An unconventional 5-room crawl unlike anything your players have seen before.

The PCs enter Caporra on what should be an ordinary morning. Without warning, a thousand birds fall dead from the sky, landing at their feet like a warning no one can yet read. By nightfall, townsfolk are clawing at their own skin and turning violent in the streets. Something invisible has already taken hold.

Day two brings a false dawn of light rain and warm sun. The respite does not last. A dark cloud rolls in and animals begin to rampage as fungus spreads over everything it touches. The clues are there for those paying attention: a strange flower growing behind the local church may hold the only cure, and a dying man at the market knows exactly what is coming. By night two, Caporra is unrecognizable.

On the third dawn, something vast rises out of the spore-filled sky. It has come to claim Caporra.

Sporefall is an unconventional 5-room dungeon where the rooms are town locations and the dungeon is time itself. Each dawn brings a new phase of horror, each night harder to survive than the last. The Spore Serpent (a colossal fungal dragon) has been seeding Caporra's collapse since the first bird hit the ground. A single strange flower may be all that stands between the PCs and total consumption.
